Technical school from Knjazevac is the only secondary vocational school in the municipality of Knjazevac and at the same time one of the best state schools in Serbia. The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology rated the school with the highest grade. The school educates students in five areas of work: Geodesy and Construction, Mechanical Engineering and Metalworking, Textile and Leatherworking, Economy, law and administration and Trade, catering industry and tourism.

Technical School fosters a proactive and innovative approach to education, continuously improves the quality of work and the conditions for the education of its students. In addition to equipping the school with modern teaching tools and technologies, the competencies of teaching staff are being developed and improved. School is a participant in the Secondary vocational schools Reform Programme since 2009., as well as in other important national educational projects.

Part of the school's special qualities are numerous and various extracurricular activities and successful projects, including school, local and investment projects, and cross-border cooperation projects. In the last ten years, the school has been active in implementing several investment and educational projects with relevant domestic and foreign partners. We would like to highlight the Government of the Kingdom of Norway (the project of replacement of carpentry at the old school building), the Embassy of the Czech Republic (project of equipping the leather workshop with machines and equipment), as well as the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Serbia (various educational investment projects).

A significant and very valuable experience in the international cooperation of schools has been achieved during the implementation of the cross-border cooperation project "Explore, discover and spread the word!", which was conducted in 2015- 2016, with the partner school PG "Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov "from Vidin. The project was designed by the school's project teams and co-financed by the European Union through the IPA Cross-Border Cooperation Program Bulgaria-Serbia.

STEM based approaches on education, its power on PBL(Project Based Learning) initiatives are always integrated our students into the lessons. We want to have more experience in this methodology and discover new approaches. The school has a successful project team, whose leader is the director of the school.

Team members regularly attend trainings for project preparation. The teachers involved have studied English language, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Geography, ICT, as well as other school subjects, and they are all familiar with new technologies.
